This healthy raspberry pineapple smoothie is my go-to breakfast smoothie. Honestly, I don’t love any other smoothie. I will drink any other flavor, but I won’t rave over it as much as I do with this one. Pineapples and Raspberries are my go-to fruit blend for smoothies because the tartness is the best.
I cannot stand smoothies made with yogurt or milk. I strongly despise creamy smoothies! It’s definitely because whenever I make a smoothie, I’m trying to make it taste a little similar to a slushie. Slushies are loaded with sugar and other unnecessary ingredients. Also, you can’t really add spinach and cauliflower to a slushie – that’s just so wrong!
If you’ve been following me for awhile on Instagram, then you know that I have always said that I drink a smoothie every morning for breakfast. A lot of people have asked me how I’ve been able to keep my weight down, I give all the credit to my morning smoothies. I load up my healthy pineapple raspberry smoothie with lots of protein powder and vegetables!
What goes inside of a healthy raspberry pineapple smoothie?
As I’ve mentioned previously, I love to add vegetables and protein powders to my smoothies. My go-to powders for this healthy raspberry pineapple smoothie are Goji Berry and Baobab! Goji Berry and Baobab powders add extra tartneess to the smoothie. This smoothie tastes like a SweeTart in drink form. I always add some collagen and ground flax as well!
As far as vegetables, I love to add spinach, frozen riced cauliflower, and zucchini. I’ve made smoothies with kale before, but I’m not a fan of the bitterness.
A lot of people say that you should add more vegetables rather than fruit in your smoothies. Personally, I don’t care to do this! I eat lots of vegetables throughout the day anyways. It doesn’t hurt to get more veggies in, especially in the mornings.
